MIDDLE SCHOOL SCIENCE

Providing opportunities for students to experience science phenomena firsthand is the goal of the new middle school science program—Science & Technology Concepts for Middle School (STC/MS).  Each grade level will delve into two inquiry modules to enhance both skills and knowledge utilizing this comprehensive, research-based curriculum. 

Sixth grade students will explore the growth and development of organisms through the inquiry module—Organisms-From Macro to Micro.  Cabbage white butterflies and hydra are examples of the living specimens that students will investigate.  Earth In Space is the second module for sixth grade.  Relationships between the Sun-Earth-Moon will be investigated as well as planetary processes.
